Direct Marketing Officer

As ACF’s Direct Marketing Officer, you will apply your many talents and skills to the successful delivery of our direct marketing activities.  You will contribute to the implementation of fundraising activities including acquisition, retention and development.  You’ll use email appeals, telemarketing, digital and face-to-face initiatives.  You’ll prepare written campaign briefs, data briefs and production schedules.  You’ll work collaboratively - harnessing cross-team skills and maintaining strong relationships with external suppliers.  You’ll bring your creativity and fundraising experience to a solid cause, and make a positive difference.

The Australian Conservation Foundation (ACF) stands for ecological sustainability. We get to the heart of environmental problems by tackling the underlying social and economic causes and have been a strong and effective voice for the environment for 50 years.

We seek a top sustainability project management professional for an exclusive 12 month sustainability project.

The Drivers of Sustainability Project aims to: develop a shared sustainable vision for Australia’s future that benefits nature and people; and identify and create a national conversation on the systemic drivers of unsustainability and the necessary transformative actions to achieve our vision.

Reporting directly to the CEO, you will work collaboratively with the ACF Executive, staff, Board and Council as required to implement the project, along with external experts.

The desired outcomes of this 12 month project include:

  • A shared, sustainable vision for Australia;
  • A framing of the unsustainability problem for Australia;
  • A map and prioritisation of the major drivers of unsustainability in Australia;
  • An evidenced based formation of the desirable future state, and the solutions needed to reach this future state, for each major driver.

You will have:

  • Proven and exceptional project management skills
  • Great skill in framing strategic ideas
  • Fantastic writing and story-telling skills
  • Excellent ability to engage across a wide range of stakeholders
  • An understanding of, and experience in, sustainability
  • An open mind able to utilise evidence to guide decision making
  • Experience working with senior management and governance bodies

Brand and Engagement Facilitator

  • Oversight of the supporter engagement experience right across the organisation
  • Full-time, permanent role, $100,420 package (inclusive of 10% superannuation) near Melbourne CBD

We seek a brand and engagement expert who has broad experience working with a large number of supporters across a wide demographic.

Sitting within the Engagement Directorate, the Brand and Engagement Facilitator is responsible for facilitating, developing and delivering ACF’s supporter communications, publications and organisational events.  Working across the organisation, you will help to ensure ACF delivers exceptional quality engagement and care to our supporters, donors and members consistent with ACFs brand through top notch stakeholder relations.  In addition, you will have line management responsibility of a small team.

Do you have…?

  • Excellent communication skills
  • Experience in relationship building and a collaborative approach
  • Experience in coordinating / curating production including magazines and other publications
  • Solid experience in event curation
  • Experience working with a diverse supporter and stakeholder base
  • Appropriate qualifications and technical knowledge in communications, brand development, journalism or copywriting
  • An excellent can-do attitude in alignment with ACF’s desired organisational behaviours
  • Some experience in not-for-profit organisations will be considered favourably, but not essential
